Panicum 'Cape Breeze' is a new, small garden-sized, rust resistant switch grass that has attracted lots of attention in our trial garden. Discovered on Martha's Vineyard by landscape designer, Paul Miskovsky, Panicum 'Cape Breeze' is a naturally occurring hybrid with Panicum virgatum and an unknown baby daddy. Panicum 'Cape Breeze' forms a densely compact, but airy 32" tall x 3' wide clump, topped from early summer through fall with an afro-like head of light tan flowers...we really love this and think you will also.
